ParaPower finally became a REAL website in 2005...whew! Watch this space for new additions and updates.

There will be errors and omissions until I can get this thing settled down, so bear with me. Note that I have added an
Internet website/e-mail
rumor checker to validate submissions first (Thanks, BJ!),

You might as well know that the "Huntin' Fishin'" & "Sika" pages (
accessible from the ABOUT ME page) contain shots
of animals harvested during various hunting seasons. As such, if you are squeamish,
DON'T GO THERE!

Bear with me, settle back, and enjoy the browsing. Make sure to leave a note in our guestbook too, and thanks.

HUNTIN' N' SUCH...
I am NOT a cunsummate hunter. I have fun...period...whether I harvest or not (of course, I'd rather harvest...). Here are some of the things I have
been doing over time. I photog my hunting as much as possible, but my love for it is greater than any pictorial history could show.
                                                    VIRGINIA'S CROSSBOW LAW

January 24, 1994
Delegate Bob Marshall (Prince William County) sets forth HB1103 which became the first crossbow
legislation which passed in Virginia allowing disabled hunters to use a crossbow.

January 26, 1998   Delegate Jay Katzen (Fauquier County), after many attempts to improve the original 1994 bill, finally
succeeds in getting HB1091 adopted. This bill continued the ideas of HB1103, but allowed disabled hunters to use their
crossbow at
ANY TIME "regular" bows were legal.

Later, Virginia would adopt crossbows for
ALL Virginia hunters.
This my personal gear I used at VaNWTF Wheelin' Sportmen events for the 2009-2010 season...

October 1, 2011. Virginia Deer Opening Day. RAGE FLEW INTO THE DEER!!!

Sighting in with new RAGE Crossbow 125's at 20 yards, I set out on Virginia's opener to get a deer after 7 years have
elapsed since my last one via corssbow. I use Stand 3 at The Hogue and here's the result of the "shoot-in" and the
"shooting" too. I was in place at 0712, and it was all over by 0726...
The Stable-style 20-yard range...
The nasty ol' Barnett Quad 300. 345fps but still slower
than the Mathews Monster XKR8 compound. Go
figure...
Practice broadhead and fieldtip
in same hole. OK, I'm ready...
"X" marks the spot of the shot...
Deer hunting can be a real drag...
Time for some fly fishing that afternoon...
Ignore the red RAGE area...
Richard is into this stuff....scary!
A 8-inch 'gill on a WoolyBugger at about 50 degrees outside...I
can love this.
So you could say "the Rage flew into a deer"...brother
