General dispatching maps used for Sheriff/Fire/rescue as purchased from VDOT. We marked each FR station and their territories
ourselves. This map shows NO 2nd (or more) due FR areas. We had to guess...sometimes it worked well....
One of two pieces of L-shaped countertop. This piece holds:
SO and FR radio logs
Pink message pad
3x5 NCIC/VCIN entry card
Sheriff's RCA radio control head and microphone
Motorola Quik-Call 2-piece toneboard system for FR
FR GE radio control head and microphone
2 red FR telephones (identical lines...weird since only one dispatcher at a time worked...)
FR call incident sheet on counter (note 1 call in progress with magnet holding it to FR radio head...)
Outside gas pump cut-off switch (on wall behind right elbow)
and...
An ever-present cup of coffee (no Starbucks or Gusto Di Vita here yet..just ol' Jail coffee!).
No wedding ring yet on that dispatcher either. That comes about 3 years later...
